All the strikers who were linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window suffered severe injuries, except for Haaland.

The summer of 2022 was somewhat complicated for the German club Bayern Munich, after the Polish Robert Lewandowski decided to use all legal and illegal methods in order to leave the “Allianz Arena” and move to the Spanish club Barcelona.

Before Lewandowski’s departure, Bayern Munich began the search for a replacement, with three names on its short list to support the attack, led by the Norwegian Erling Halland, the German player of Borussia Dortmund at the time.

In addition to Halland, the Ivorian Sebastian Haller, the former Ajax player, and the Austrian Sasha Kalajdzic, the former Stuttgart player, came.

Bayern Munich failed to include any of the trio, after Haaland moved to Manchester City, and Haller went to Borussia Dortmund, while Calidzic left Germany, also heading to the English Premier League from the Wolverhampton gate.

The curse of Bayern Munich!

Strangely enough, Haller and Kalidjic were subjected to something like a curse, as neither of them even completed a week with their new team.

Haller, during the pre-season with Borussia Dortmund, it was revealed that he had a testicular cancerous tumor.

Haller underwent surgery to remove the tumor and began radiotherapy in order to remove all traces of the cancer from his body.

Borussia Dortmund announced that Haller will be out for several months, without specifying the full time in which the Ivory Coast national team will be absent.

As for Sasha Kalajdzic, who is considered one of the most prominent young strikers in European football, he moved to the ranks of Wolverhampton, on the last day of the summer transfer window 2022, in a deal valued at about 18 million euros.

Caladjic played his first match with Wolverhampton just three days later, when he started against Southampton in the English Premier League.

But Kalajdzic was substituted at half-time due to an injury, and Wolverhampton confirmed that his player had cut the cruciate ligament in the knee, and he must undergo surgery.

With the nature of the young Austrian star’s injury, he will have to be absent for a period ranging between six and eight months, in a severe blow to Kalajdzic.

Watch out, Haaland!

But it seems that Haaland has taken his luck and the luck of the other players that Bayern Munich was linked with during the last summer transfers.

This comes in light of the unusual state of brilliance shown by the Norwegian star with Manchester City.

Haaland succeeded in leading the top scorer in the English Premier League after seven rounds, after he managed to score ten goals, including a hat-trick in the last two matches in the competition.

But the young Norwegian is required to be very careful in the coming period, given that the curse of Bayern Munich, which struck Haller and Kalidjic, may strike him at any time.
